Automatically connect Azure AD and KACE Cloud

This topic describes the automatic process of connecting your Azure AD subscription with KACE Cloud. A manual configuration is also supported, however this is the recommended process.

To add KACE Cloud app to Azure AD:

  1. Ensure that you have all of the mandatory Azure AD pre-requisites in place before you establish a connection to your Azure AD environment.
  2. Log in to Azure AD.
  3. Go to Mobility (MDM and MAM).
  4. Click + Add application to add KACE Cloud app.
  5. In the Mobility (MDM and MAM) area, from the list of existing applications, locate and select KACE Cloud.
  6. If you are prompted to grant the KACE Cloud app permissions access to applicable resources, click Accept.
  7. On the KACE Cloud app Configure page, ensure that MDM user scope is set to All.
  8. In KACE Cloud, on the Settings tab, go to Windows Settings > Azure AD.
  9. On the Azure Active Directory Settings page, start the Automated process.
    • If you do not currently have a configuration for the previously offered on-premise KACE Cloud solution, click Automated.
    • If you already have an on-premise KACE Cloud solution, and want to convert to the new cloud-based app, click Remove Existing Settings, and then click Automated.
  10. In Azure AD, ensure the MDM terms of use URL and MDM discovery URL values match the corresponding values found in the KACE Cloud Azure Active Directory Settings page (MDM Terms Of Use URI and MDM Discovery URI).
  11. Grant access to the KACE Cloud application in your Azure AD environment.
    1. In KACE Cloud, on the Azure Active Directory Settings page, locate the MDM On-Board URI field, and click Copy.
    2. Open a new browser instance and paste the newly copied URL.
    3. Log in to Azure AD with your organization's administrative credentials.
    4. When prompted, review the permissions you are about to grant, and click Accept.

When the administrative consent is granted for a multi-tenant Azure AD app, an Azure AD enterprise app registration is created for your Azure AD directory.

  12. Verify the Azure AD settings in KACE Cloud.
    • In KACE Cloud, on the Azure Active Directory Settings page, click Verify Azure AD Settings.

A message appears at the top pf the page, indicating success.
